QScale Strengthens its Board with the Addition of Industry Veterans and Experts to Support its Growth

Four new board members add expertise in energy, technology, ESG, sales, and finance

Lévis, Québec, Canada, January 24, 2023 – QScale, a leader in sustainable computing infrastructures, announced today the addition of four industry veterans and experts to its board of directors. The new board members—Todd Rowe, Joanne Ferstman, Sam Arons and Bernard Poitras—bring vast expertise and experience in energy, technology, ESG, sales, and finance to the company.

Todd Rowe is a seasoned Silicon Valley executive with extensive experience leading global teams at companies such as Google, Apple, Adobe, and SAP. He led one of Google's fastest-growing business units, managing teams in 32 countries and overseeing all aspects of the customer lifecycle. He is a recognized thought leader, keynote speaker, and advisor to private and public companies. Additionally, he advises Silicon Valley venture capital firms on potential investments in start-up companies. He has also served on the boards of directors of several successful technology companies, and currently sits on the board of advisors for Genpact, a large public company.

Joanne Ferstman is an experienced corporate director who has spent over 20 years working in the financial industry. She was chief executive officer at Dundee Capital Market Inc. and held various financial leadership roles at Dundee Corporation and DundeeWealth Inc., where she oversaw strategic development, financial reporting, and risk management. She is also a board member of ATS Corporation, Cogeco Communications Inc., Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. and DREAM Unlimited Corp. Ms. Ferstman holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a graduate degree in Public Accountancy from McGill University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Sam Arons is a Silicon Valley clean energy and transportation expert with a background in infrastructure and sustainability. He successfully completed the first electric vehicle charging deal at TeraWatt Infrastructure; built the ESG program at Lyft, including the commitment to transition to 100% electric vehicles; and co-led the achievement of transitioning Google to 100% renewable energy for the entire company. He holds a BA in Physics from Williams College and an MS in Energy and Resources from UC Berkeley, where his research focused on wind energy and plug-in vehicles.

Bernard Poitras is an accomplished industrial production manager with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing operations. He has developed a wide range of skills in production management, operations management, marketing, human resources, strategic planning, and business acquisition and sales. Since 2019, he has been working as a private investor and is a member of Anges Québec. He has served on various boards for over 20 years and is currently a member of five boards, including two as president.
